In the Manfred Mann's Earth Band version that was a radio hit, the lyrics were changed to "Revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night." I always that it was "Wrapped up like a douche, another runner in the night."

Oh, I know that...my business partner is in the office and she's a jazz and oldies singer...we're laughing at how we "heard" different lyrics when we were young.
