[ China charges U.S. monopolizes the Internet, seeks global control ]

Maybe the Hildebeast will SELL it to them(the Chinese), like she and Bubba did everything else while in the White House..

Without nary a snort or guffaw from republicans either the Clintoons sold or let the Chinese steal much technolgical info while there.. Remember those Laptops and the chinese agent they "embedded" in White Sands... They didn't even get "Camp Cupcake" over this like Marsha did.. I prefer a gallows being set up on the White House lawn.. The hangings could go on for weeks.. just hanging the most heinous offenders..

What would the republicans do about it.?.
Probably nothin... as usual, except whine, meekly...

Look at the label on what you buy. If it says, "Made in China," consider whether you can live without buying it.

Chinese security forces raid Internet cafes and arrest people who violate Chinese rules.

Only if someone is putting up big bucks for a kidney.

RE: with the full involvement of governments

That's interesting, currently, the internet is managed by the private world. Now, gee, why would Communsts want more government involvement? (purely rhetorical question ... )

Sooner or later, the internet will bring China's thug government, and they see the handwriting on the wall.

It is totally reprehensible that China has the monopoly in Great Walls.

I say that this priceless historical treasure should be shared among all nations...

Hey China, remember our spy plane that you ass-raped? Those parts and a phone call to Al Gore should get you off to a good start.

This guy doesn't have a clue! IP is just a protocol for Christsakes! They can use it just as much as we can.

If they really want to get fancy, they can develope and market their own protocol. Motorola has done this for all of their private wireless data systems and EMS systems.

From the article..."China strictly prohibits any public criticism of the ruling communist party and closely monitors and censors Internet usage. Periodically, Chinese security forces raid Internet cafes and arrest people who violate Chinese rules."

Some libertarian types on this site who know computers and the internet and who deplore the government meddling in THEIR affairs think its just peachy to do business with these creeps.

Beats me. What would Ayn do in this instance?

China and their global civil society should grow up and act like adults. Is there something wrong with their mental functions? Anybody can add nodes; China could add nodes and even let their own citizens browse in total freedom if they felt like it.

They're going to have to take this up with India. The U.S. doesn't do that kind of stuff anymore. We're too lazy and too illiterate.
