You mentined somewhere on this thread that you belong to the Academy.

I, as a homeschooling mom, do have a different view. I can see how being in the business, seeing as many movies as possible keeps you abreast of your profession. I avoid as many movies as possible. I don't want to spend that much money, we don't rent a lot of DVD's either. I only go when I can tell it will affirm and inspire my heart. If there are too many commericals pushing one movie, I go out of my way not to see it. I most certainly did not go to see "Million Dollar Baby".

I do not want to be preached at with my own money.

If you're not a movie-lover why would you even waste your time on this thread?

I recommend you rent or buy a movie called "The Heart and Soul of America" just now available on DVD. While the world was busy screaming about "F-9/11" Disney dumped this wonderful and tear-jerking documentary Valentine to the USA into a few theaters without a word. It died a horrible death which is unforgivable.
