Why is it that ephedra herb killed a few people, less than 160 nationwide and it was pulled off the shelves while COX 2 inhibitors killed almost 60,000 was pulled off the shelves for a month and now the Govt. says they can start going back into production? The FDA panel voted 31-1 to allow Celebrex to stay on the market, 17-13 in favor of Bextra, and 17-15 in favor of Vioxx.
Believe me, herbs are the least of our problems.

Of course. They want control over supplements for the profits. It's a huge business. Once the FDA/WTO get control the pharm companies will claim only they can provide the proper controls. How many people have died from use of supplements? Even the ephedra-related deaths are questionable.
