I am with you. I was using FireFox until a few hours ago. Went to sign on, got a message that I had to update my profile which was easy enough, just come up with a user name and then poof....all of my book marks were gone. Something is wrong. So I deleted the whole program and gone back to IE.

Sounds like you were phished or something. Since firefox keeps its bookmarks as an XML file, it should be a simple matter of finding the file (bookmarks.html) and then either putting it back in the right place, or backing up by copying.
