Beyond a reasonable doubt, my friend

Save that claptrap for a courtroom, the domain of robed fools and overpaid jesters. If you want to IMAGINE police officers hiding among the witnesses, go right ahead. I will make my personal judgement on the facts I have now, and frankly it reinforces my belief that cops intentionally cloud the facts to protect their own, and will outright lie to avoid responsibility for their own stupidity. Note: I have never defended the "perps" actions, just the police response.

Stop with your fake stats. It proves nothing. Hey, I know you probably have a beef with cops, but take it elsewhere.

Fake stats?

I don't think so.

My only beef with cops is that they will cloud the issues to protect their own, and outright lie to cover for their own stupidity.

Ours is a society based in LAW. Take a Criminal Justice course once in your life. The "facts" you have are from the media of all people! The A freakin' P! You're going to trust that over the judgement of an officer in a questionable scenario?

My "imagining" is the reason why "reasonable doubt" exists. It's reasonable to think someone else fired the shot. No one has come forward and proclaimed otherwise.

And I'm sure your next answer will not only NOT answer how many officers where present, but will also contain the word "claptrap."

Where did you go to high school at? Was it an outside school like in CA?

Louisiana. It rains too much to have an outside school here.

Well, if police officers in this country were actually prosecuted on the same level as civilians for their wrongdoings I probably would be on your side. However, you can't trust cops to tell the truth about other cops to civilians, they will outright lie.

"The cop could control the bullet, not the car."

Are you serious? In all chase scenes I've seen on Cops and/or live coverage of car chases, I've never seen a cop shoot at the fleeing vehicle. Rodney King was caught while attempting to elude police to be beaten with clubs. He got millions in a settlement.

Police don't shoot at fleeing cars. This is not the wild west. This cop should be tried for murder...but he won't be. First he will be placed on administrative leave with pay, and then he will be hopefully permanently discharged from the department.. and surely denied the ability to ever again possess a firearm.

You would allow the car, obviously driven by a crazy, to continue on toward the building full of kids?

You make a good point but it appears from the graphic that the driver was driving away from the bldg (gym, bottom of graphic), where the dance was being held when he was shot.

I'm more concerned about the media's lies, you are more concerned about the executive branch of the law. You can elect heads of office, not CEO's of CNN.

We are getting this info from the media. Give the cop a chance, and don't just assume he's stupid. You weren't there. You were somewhere else where you felt you were wronged.

Your bias would be based on what by the way?

I'll give you some "stats".

Did you know that the average law abiding citizen is more likey to have a loaded gun pointed at them by a cop than by a criminal?

"''He wasn't that kind of kid. He was a good kid,'' said family spokeswoman Joelle Cornelius. "

Isn't it amazing that so many "familes" know nothing of their little gangsters?

Harris and Kleibold families also said they knew nothing and that their kids were "good kids".

With that statement, I recalled a COPS episode where a motorist hit an officer with his side-view mirror while the cop was pulling over a speeder. The cop hit the hood of the car and fell, got up, squeezed off three shots at the car, and ran to his squad car.

On a similar episode, I saw another cop get hit a bit harder by a side-view and he got knocked flat next to the car he pulled over. The cop couldn't move, so the motorist he pulled over got his radio and called for help.

Of course, I again try to tell you and all others passing judgement like this... take at least one Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice class in your life.

Actions of police officers I have known and dealt with.

Yes I know a lot of good cops, and I have seen those same good cops stand by and defend a known scumbag officer, and continue to do so until the offending cop is quietly dismissed even when he should have been prosecuted and imprisoned.

I don't know if they do it, because they want that same support when they are accused or what, but IMO it is absolutely inappropriate.

That "thin blue line" used to mean what stood between law abiding citizens and criminals, now that blue line serves itself 99 out of 100 times.

Do they use the same piece of video footage every time a punk does something like this?

"He was always a good boy blah blah blah"

Why doesn't the lunkhead reporter ask the obvious question: "If he was so good why did he pull this stunt?"
