I thought that the ruling was that the Schindlers were not parties to the Terri's Law case only. Otherwise, I thought they were parties to "the case," "the case" being Schiavo v. Schindler.
Goodnight prayer for Terri!
If you look at how Greer has treated the Schindlers and their attorneys throughout these years, you can only conclude that they have absolutely no standing with him.
I agree that it is EXPLICIT that they were not allowed to be part of the Terri's Law case. However, clearly it is IMPLICIT, by Greer's actions and demeanor and statements and treatment of them, that he does not consider them a legitimate party to this case. Never mind if there is a fig leaf there that pretends they are. They aren't, in reality. And that explains to me why Gibbs was excluded from the confab between Greer and the others.
Let me add that DCF is in the same position with Greer as Gibbs; Greer in reality denies that they have standing in the case, either. He basically told them their duty was to read his rulings and comply, that there is no role whatsoever for them to play. But because they were allowed to at least present their side, he felt it best to include them in the confab.
Believe me, that was tactical on his part. Look at his actions overall...he is telling them in effect to take a hike.
