the Bush jokes were funny Was there some originality or twist to them that made you think they were funny.
I'm not watching and no one who has defended the jokes has repeated them, so I can't judge if you are being fair or clueless.
On Bush, Rock talked about how you have to hand it to Bush, reapplying for a job when there's a movie in every theater about how bad a job he's doing. For instance, he took office with a budget surplus, and now there's a $70 trillion deficit. Now, imagine you work at the Gap, and at the end of the day, your till is $70 trillion short. Are you keepin' your job? Or let's say you work at the Gap, and you start a war with Banana Republic. You say they have toxic tank tops. After 1,000 clerks are dead, you find out they never made tank tops. And you get to keep your job?
That's basically it, summarized from memory. Not funny, and wildly inappropriate. I could open my window here in Dallas and hear TVs being switched off as far away as Idaho.
so I can't judge if you are being fair or clueless.Wow. That really makes me want to repeat them. LOL.
At any rate. I'm not defending anything.
I thought part of the Bush jokes were regular run of the mill dumb President jokes. One was in regard to the deficit. I didn't like the jokes regarding the war in Iraq.
