The local radio host is of my opinion, that this is what they will try. I think it is despicable, but it is already percolating through the netherworld of the left.

My interest is that this low-class stuff is making it into the mainstream press.

FR ought not be in the business of helping this ugly garbage get more attention.

My interest is that this low-class stuff is making it into the mainstream press.

This is quickly becoming all that they've got in the arsenal. It's obvious enough that Iraq is rapidly starting to stabilize that even Friedman was forced to write a somewhat optimistic column on it where he tried to take all the credit for the outcome on behalf of the left. The other MSM talking heads are wistfully hoping that a civil war will break out - when they're reduced to that, it's clear that the Iraq cupboard is running dry.

So of course they'll pick up this sewage about Dr. Rice and the President and imply it is fact. Try as they might, they're never going to pin a real scandal on George Bush. Even if there actually is one out there, they've so demolished whatever credibility they have left when it comes to Dubya that no one will believe them if they report it. Why not try to invent a sex scandal and titillate the public with it?
