Depends on what area it is from. The water is the key. Some of the highland malts taste so much like peat that I cant hack them. But some people love drinking the "golden tea" made from peaty water.

I pretty much stay away from all of it now as I got to watch it.

BTW...NEVER go over there and order whiskey and water or anything mixed. That is an abomination to them. If you wanna water it down, they generally have a pitcher at the end of the bar with ice water in it. They'll tell you to ruin your own drink..at least some of them will.

That would not be a problem for me as I drink my single malt neat, as it should be.
