Hi Jocko,

The fig tree prophecy is Matthew 24:32. You have to read the whole chapter to get the context of the line. The fig tree is symbolic of Israel. Here is a good page on it:

Rapture Link

I do question if Israel is "reborn" without its temple. So has the clock started yet ?

The web is full of "enthusiastic" Christian sites that say it has, but I think they see what they want to see. Does not mean they are wrong, but it does mean they are biased.

I consider myself a Christ follower. I read his words, and follow Him. Christ gave us the parable, so it will be fulfilled PERIOD. But even He did not the exact day and time.

I don't know where you stand in Christ, so I will warn you to take it slow with the end times prophecies. The text is downright frightening for unbelievers.

Hi FH,

Thanks for writing back and giving a Bible verse as a reference. Will take a look. I am a believer. I do watch and pray for the Lord's return and try to be ready for that with as little notice as the twinkling of an eye.

OTOH, if He tarries, I hope to live out my life serving Him, serving the church, and serving my fellow man with mercy and with love. By His grace.

The Scripture I have been most blessed by this week is Philippians 4.

Thanks again for writing. God bless.

JM
