We currently have fifteen members in our organization, spanning all across this country
As there are 50 states in the union, I would hardly think that a membership of 15 spans the country.

As there are 50 states in the union, I would hardly think that a membership of 15 spans the country. Bridges span rivers, and only touch the water in a few places, if at all. 13 kalifornians and 2 taxachusetts senators would span most of the continental US, would it not? ;-P
