I am familiar with the ways around the theory. All are strictly theoretical and usually involve restrictive amounts of energy, in exess of all energy expended by the entire universe over the course of it’s predicted lifetime.

It’s entirely possible that some intelligence from some other planet has laughed during discussions of speed of light travel, they have just never laughed about it here.
