Something that I've been wondering about for quite some time now is the federal ban of states collecting sales tax on Internet sales... Somebody would need to really examine the law very closely. Does it exempt Internet sales of all taxes or just sales taxes? I wonder if someone could take this to a federal court, and claim that the sales are exempt...

Well, I guess I missed that last line about the GAO saying that excize taxes are not exempt... Still, I'd love to see someone take this to court...
