Unbelievable! When we first moved out to L.I. in 1948, it was mostly potato farms and a few bedroom communities. As far as I can recall, the ethnic makeup was Irish, Jewish, and Italian and that was pretty much it. Violence was non existent and the educational system was the finest in the country.

How things do change!

"Things" have changed more in the last five years than they have in the last twenty. And under a Republican House and Senate majority and a Republican president I might add.

Where are the 'conservatives?'
