Thunderstorm. Nothing more. Happens in the midwest and the east coast all the time.

Well golly I didn't know that.. :-)

Seriously folks. I was born and raised in Omaha, NE, and I lived in Denver for 5 years. I have heard thunderstorms before. But that was the loudest thunder I have ever heard.

BTW: No loss, Jim's Burgers is mediocre. Especially when Sammy Burger is just down the street.

Yeah, well, a lot of people out here don't. You should have seen the patrons this morning. People thought we had been nuked.

No argument there. Personally, I prefer Legends. But Mountain Ave looked particularly bad this A.M. and Baseline is no bargain in this kind of weather.

Time Warner in San Diego was giving an ALERT (since 8:30) - saying there was a severe thunderstorm warning - and it was heading northeast from San Diego. We had a couple of hours of rain and very high winds, but no thunder.

That might have been the cause of the loud noises. I've been in thunderstorms where all the car alarms were set off.

But .. Weather Service is now saying a worse thunderstorm is expected for Monday.
