The idea for Operation Crayon is fantastic! Target has RoseArt crayons in a box of 24 for 10-cents (Crayola crayons are a quarter) this week. 70-page notebooks are on sale at Wal-Mart for six cents apiece. I know that my husband's unit does a lot of "community relations" visits to schools, orphanages, hospitals, and outlying villages in their location, and apparently other units do the same. Now's the perfect time to purchase supplies; they can always be shipped later.
