What? Why?
What? Why?
I have three degrees and my brother has a GED and an AA degree. He is a brass hat with a major computer company. I'm retired at 46 and living off my investments.
I congratulate you on such wonderful achievements! I'm not trying to pick a fight here. I believe you when you say your public schools (in OK) do a fine job. It's just not that way in every state. From the sound of it, your kids had a mom who paid attention.
"all yore childrens are belongtk to uus. soviets peoples strong and has some way helping children of state from mothers, fathers, and somme others bad guuys, bringingk childrren to soviet systems education and learn, reporty to Krasnoyarski districty, educations!, belong children for the State, Marx learning! please report, no choice tomorrow, nyet, not late!!".. -- Commisar (Democrat) "Comrade Polotkinkerry", Siberia district
Yes, all the private schools, home schoolers included, are fair game for the Left Wing Marxist Statists, there is NO getting around it. Some in the US have that EXACT SAME doctrine, whether they realize it ("realise" for our British well-wishers in MI-5) or not.
"All your private skools are belong to us! ! !"
Good God, no. (yet possible. or Nyet possible? Hope the answer is Nyet)
"As for sexuality and crime in schools, its natural progression of the mind. As people get more used to sex and crime, it becomes common place. Problem is, there is zero way to reverse it. You can help your family, but the country as a whole will just become more and more used to sex and crime."
You are mistaken. The move toward a preoccupations regarding sex is not progression, but a sign of regression. It's a sign of a less educated, less sophisticated society, in which only the base level pursuits become regular pursuits.
What you're seeing is a sign of the "new primitivism," not an advancing culture.
Excellent post
It's not "head in the sand". It's a STFU to you with the broad brush. If you live in little Red America, it isn't a problem. We just had a prayer breakfast and fund-raiser for a child who has an incurable disease.
There are fantastic PS out there. I happened to find one.
I can't tell you how weary I am of those who scream "HomeSchool"-----like half of them are qualified to teach. Many can't conjugate a sentence or tell two from too or to. Or their, there or they're.
OTOH, I have brilliant friends who homeschool.
It appears that his primary job was a pain in the $ss
Good riddance.
Bald Eagle! I see you flying in the horizon! ;)
Hopefully schools become better someday. i hope parents take back the schools someday.
I work with kids of all ages every day. Most of them are intellectual cripples. I've seen an 11 year old that couldn't figure out how much change she needed for a coke machine and I can never assume that they understand what I am saying to them, even in simple language. I'm always having to catch myself and ask them if they know what this word or that word means, and I never cease to be amazed at how minumally functional their language and comprehension skills are. Certainly there is an element of it that is a function of the kinds of environment they come from, but no less significant is the cognitive wasteland where they spend the majority of their waking hours.

Is it possible that he's earning the income, while his wife is teaching the kids?
I pity the kid(s).
I suppose that would depend on your definition of child abuse, or neglect. Is it child abuse to make a child wear shoes that are too small? Is it child abuse to tie their hands to prevent them from using them? If so, them maybe it is child abuse to prevent their minds from reaching beyond the boundaries of secular indoctrination. No, it wouldn't hold up in court, but when you consider some of the asininity that does hold up in court, that isn't much of a gauge.
"...multiplying faster than a welfare Dad on a Viagra feedbag"
That's a great one...thanks.
