I agree. After the Six-Day War, Israel turned over control of the mosque to the Wafq in an effort to show religious freedom to those who had not shown it to the Jews during the Jordanian occupation. IMO,Israeli good intentions, combined with the Intifada/Oslo are being rewarded in typical Islamic
fashion.
The Ottomans should have written up regulations for the use of the Temple Mount. I'm sure they did not include arresting people for praying. All they have to do is look into old documents and apply what was done there. Its worked for the Church of Nativity, it should work for everything else if you consider that the Ottomans only needed less a platoon of soldiers to keep the peace in Jerusalem in the good old days.
