Oh, that must be it. It was an automatic flash, and I didn't turn it off.

But it was in the afternoon, and very bright, so I'm surprised it went off. (I was snapping fast in case the snow stopped).

Anyway......you see a few hyperflakes among the unusually large ones to begin with!
