I said in some places (living in the country) you need to be careful...or you might get shot or even harrassed by threatening phone calls made to you by cookie supporters.
You need to be careful no matter where you live, so this argument of "you must be careful because you live in the country" in bunk.
I live in a condensed city area. I think I have more reason to fear for criminals and trespassers than country folk do.
My grandparents live on a farm in rural Iowa. The closest neighbor is at least a mile away. They don't get spooked when they hear a knock on the door. They have had knocks on the door late at night because neighbors/friends needed help. Not once did they sue.
