Nice excuse on the parents part. But in the end the court said they had to pay...and likely didn't make her sign the agreement (at least I haven't read that the court did that anyway).

I agree. That waiver should be incorporated into the court order.
Hey man, their were stupid things done and mistakes made on both sides, but I am sick to death of bs lawsuits. Everyone sues over everything, and in the end we all pay.
Remember the good ole days when there were accidents and apologies and just people you didn't like? Everyone dealt with it like grown-ups instead of going to their mommy, i.e.judge, and crying "she touched me!"
I AM SO EFFING TIRED OF PEOPLE TRYING TO GET MONEY EVERYTIME THEY ARE SCARED OR SAD OR MAD OR FAT OR STUPID OR UGLY OR GET THEIR WITTLE FEEWINGS HURT. JUST DEAL.
And you are right. Bush is the man.
You have every right to your opinion but don't waste our time with this kind of futile stupidity.
ANY attorney worth his salt would have advised the girls' parents not to pay a dime unless the Youngs signed off on coming back for second or third helpings.
If you were dealing with somebody weird enough to be suing you for a cookie delivery I'm quite sure, as evidenced by your posts, that you'd be silly enough to cough up without a second thought.
The court dismissed her claims for pain and suffering and emotional damage. That's as got as saying she should have signed the waiver - which is now moot as she's had her day in court.
