Just keep a human in the command loop is all I ask. You and me both, brother. I used to wonder how long until we had fighters that were artifical intelligence piloted. The remote drones we have now are a first step, but I am betting within 10 years or so, the technology will easily be available for that sucker to analyze trajectories of all aircraft in region, and plot the absolute best strategies in milliseconds... immune to g-forces a human pilot is. I also wonder why border control, in places like Iraq, could not be dealt with by some sort of stationary armored robotic pod, dropped every few hundred yards by aircraft, which could home in and machinegun any heat source larger than a rabbit.
