Sean: "I used to be a FReeper.  I haven't been to that site in years. I left FreeRepublic and everyone I know left FreeRepublic because of fringe elements that are there.  They eat their own there."

"On Hannity.com we have a bulletin board system where we won't allow it to be overrun with fringe element."

Sean! I'm a fan!

There's no reason to disparage FreeRepublic.com to promote the bulletin board service on your website.

I know there's people that bust your chops about your book promotion and such on FreeRepublic but most of us are fans.

Promote your site Sean, but don't knock us to do it.

Otherwise you may be on next after Dan Rather and Eason Jordan!  :-)

What specifically is his definition of "Fringe Element".

If he left FR two years ago, as he said, how does he even know what's going on here? How is he qualified to make any statement as to what the discussion climate is here today?

As for his board where no one will "eat their own," what, has he hired Senator McCain to be censor-in-chief?

Is he going to pull threads busting on him or Flipper?

While we're at it, what could he mean by "eating their own"---the fact that, gasp, sometimes people here disagree and disagree vehemently, to the point of sometimes being, double gasp, IMPOLITE?

Yeah, I can't wait to see his board. It sounds like all he's going to allow is his definition of a lovefest. Ugh.

And, Sean, I know you're reading this. I'm a fan and I mean it. You got it wrong, buddy, and you are going to look so foolish. Sad.

Silly over-reated child.

How long do you think he'll have something to say about these statements today about FR?

Speak for yourself.

Hannity is a self-serving idiot. The sooner he vanishes from talk radio, the better for the conservative movement.

It is refreshing seeing Hannity hold the liberals' feet to the fire. He is no William F. Buckley however.

Republicans need all the help they can get, so we need to stop any bickering about any differences and make dead certain that the liberals stay very, very far away from the Congress for a very, very long time.

Let the liberals bicker, they are good at it anyway.

I see very little fringe here and I see a lot more well-thought-out postings here than at l.com (home of the hyperactive control freak mods).
