Hannity is like an old senator. He may have had some principle when he got where he is, but he is now far more concerned about collegiality, access to the old bull liberals and the media glitterati. Here in the SF Bay Area the Sean Hannity radio program is 17th in this market. Before you conclude that this is because this is a socialist enclave note that Michael Savage is #1.

To be fair, we should note that in the SF Bay Area, Hannity is on a three-hour delay while we get Dr. Laura in his time slot. A taped topical show, especially with breaking news possibilities, and lack of audience participation since we don't hear the live feed doesn't help ratings. Might as well be listening to Michael Reagan at 4am (OK, maybe not that extreme, but you get my jist). But I'm not that I'm under any illusion that he'd be #1 if he was live.
Me personally, I rarely listen to him at the timeslot because I get my fill from the morning shows and I'm more into the music mode at that time, although I'll flip around the dial if I'm driving.
