Also, Ruckus, you keep talking about a "consensus"...keep in mind that 30 years ago the environmentalists/scientists claimed there was GLOBAL COOLING.

As I said before, at the heart of this "environmental movement" is socialism. The left uses it to move forward with their goal of the abolition of private property (in the communist manifesto). In WA, they are pushing a 65/10 law which says you cannot build on more than 10% of YOUR LAND.

All I hear from the left is how America and corporations are the "problem", yet you don't hear a peep out of them regarding China. China is the worldwide leader in mercury pollution.

If environmentalist groups like ELF and others are so "concerned" about the environment, why do they pollute when making a "political statement"? For example, they burn down apartment complexes and housing developments in California. Think of all the different materials on fire and releasing toxins into the air. They also have destroyed Hummers, and set those on fire. I would say that when the rubber on the tires is aflame, that releases toxins into the air as well.

On top of that consider the Kennedys and their opposition to wind farms in cape cod. If they were as concerned about the environment as they pretend to be, they wouldn't have filed suit to stop the construction. The Kennedys and the Ariana Huffingtons of the world also travel in private jets which consume VAST amounts of fuel. Guess they're only concerned with the pollution that YOU generate.
