Yes, a lot of us are a lot of extremists on this site -but so what? Us Freepers owe our allegiance to an ideal, and we do no waver in our steadfastness to that ideal. And that allegiance is not necessarily to America (which is far too secular & materialistic for most of us) but to the FreeRepublic!

FreeRepublic is the idealized (read "extreme") America that would exist if socialists, anarchists, communists, liberals, atheists, agnostics feminists, IRA supporters, union members, left-wing university professors, Al Queada Supporters, etc were banished!
