Did anyone else see this documentary on PBS? In my area they just got done showing it (or as much of it as I could watch).
Well have fun -- that's what's most important!
You maybe right that No one can stop PBS or NPR but Newt did say he was going to do this and it did not get done. I like Newt most of the time but he did not get this done and we still have to live with PBS and NPR.
That's what i thought it was and I turned the channel after two minutes. I am watching Modern Marvels on the History Channel.:-)
The NOVA segment on just before it dealing with the preservation of our Founding Documents was immensely more interesting to me. I watched THIS instead of O'Reilly and then continued into FRONTLINE.
My Take: A 'hit piece' on Rumsfeld, pure and simple. They disagree with everything the mans done; They don't like him; They blame him for everything thats gone wrong while ignoring anything that went right. In fact, nothing has gone right in their minds.
I applaud your good judgment. My last hour would have been far better spent if I had watched Modern Marvels.
I think your "take" is right on the money. That about sums it up for me.
Left-wing agitprop on PBS?? Is that possible??
I watched about 5 minutes of it. As soon as Bob Woodward from the WP came on screen and started talking, I immediately changed the channel. Screw that noise.
>> Did anyone else see this documentary on PBS?
Yes. It was on earlier this evening. It was a typical left-wing hit-piece, highly critical of Rumsfeld, and highly supportive of Bob Woodward and anyone else who has opposed Rumsfeld at one time or another. As expected, the "documentary" (so-called) concluded with a comment about the "republican" (so-called) senators who asked for Rumsfeld's resignation (e.g., McCain, Hagel, Lott, etc.). It makes me sick and angry that my tax dollars are used to support that left-wing propaganda outlet called PBS.
Well, you have more good sense than I do. I watched nearly the whole show, and now I regret the lost time that I'll never get back.
Despite their hard-left ideological stance, Frontline shows sometimes have good information also. Not this time, alas.
yep.. about what i expected.
