"As a conservative, I have been labeled, ''an angry white man.''"

Don't let the loons like Chris Matthews get you down!! Being a conservative gives us a special cross to bear.

God bless you!!

I don't see how a former Cancer patient could stay in the Guard or Reserves and then be reactivated. Does that happen often or is this coming from DitHF?

Sounds like life has dealt you a bad hand. What can we do to help?

OK, I must have missed something. I read the rant twice but still don’t know why you are angry. Is it just because you had a rough period in your life? Most of us do.

Maybe your negative attitude is encouraging theirs?

Maybe your positive attitude would help them overcome theirs?

I pray for God to give you what you need.

There some things in your writing that i did not quite comprehend (eg the subtle slight towards that kid), but as for the rest all i can do is just ask the good Lord to help you and your family (both your family-family and your military family). God bless and keep you sir.

Spetz.

Hard times indeed.

Boo-Fu*king-Hoo!

The alternative if I read you right is:

1. You're not right with God
2. You aren't married to a great lady
3. You are DEAD

You are pissed off by missing that?

So now you are called up to once again serve and the only reason you can see to do it is shame? Better change that freeper page of yours "America kicks ass!" because you currently don't reflect it.

If you have been called up it's most likely because you have needed skills, are an experienced NCO or Officer. No matter the attitudes of those troops will reflect YOURS and if it's bad then there is nobody left to blame but you.

Get over it.

No, I haven't gone through the same crap you have, I've had my own bucket to pour and it splashed just fine thank you. So what? I retired an NCO and if I had a chance to go back I would be worried about my family and maybe a little concerned about the possibility of not coming back, but I sure as hell would not let my people know or post if all for the world to see.

Don't like this? Tough. You need to hear it.

Would that the rest of america would get as pissed off..
The democrats have pretty much urinated on the proverbial chicken in every pot..
And as the pubbies move ever leftward.. being a unite'er and not a divider is approaching treason.. and bi-partisan sleeping with the enemy is just that..

Yeah! I don't blame you.. a very honest assessment..
No doubt this screed is only the tip of the iceberg..
There is a time for love and a time for hate..

It sounds to me like you think God has let you down. You suffered, had a religious reawakening, suffered some more and now it is time for things to go right. Job got pretty rattled, as well as downright ticked at the Almighty, because of his unending misfortunes with no end in sight. Somewhere along the way he found out that he hadn't done all that much to bring about such grief. Then he learned to endure just because, for whatever reason, God wanted him to. You were spared to be where you are today for a reason. If posting a rant helps then I am glad we are here to listen. God has us listening for a reason also. God bless you and your companions.

Hope you feel better. A little ranting and raving is good for the ticker. Besides holding it in breeds resentment and resentment prolonged breeds cancer in some people.

I guess we'll all remember you long after you're gone, Freeplancer. Godspeed.

Not enough pay for service men? Our service men have bad attitudes? I'm kinda lost as to the rant, but I sure hope it made you feel better to get it off your chest.

I will keep the secrets of the 160 men I am now going to call my family, but never have I seen such bad attitudes.

This is the most intriguing part of your post. Are you saying the Libs are right and those touted in FReeper circles are hiding something?

(It is no secret that the government and official military has always looked after itself and discarded vets, the GI Bill being a rare exception.)

I have twice in life felt that all I could barely do was endure, and I wasn't positive that I could survive enduring.

The last time I raged out, cried out, and reached out; all with no expectation of an easy answer or wanting pity.

One fellow that heard my anguish pointed out that anguished howls were pretty much what some of the psalms were. He didn't suggest I only read them. Instead he suggested I share some of my rage and anguish with God (whatever the level of belief I had at the moment) in the same format -- that I write out informally and deliver them to heaven in an empty room.

I read a few of the applicable psalms and saw what he was talking about.

I knew the feelings of "abandonment to my enemies" and the like depicted there. I wrote my version of them on scratch paper and in my mind and I gave my heart, bitterness and all to the walls of my room, in the cold of morning and in the emptyness of night.

I am a very fullfilled and happy person today. I believe that what I did then, impacted what happened since.

Thank you for your service.
