And after 2 years of being good, I get Cancer, and I did not give my Cancer a little pet name and have a Mommy come to my rescue to hold press conferences and make me think the whole world will always help me with my problems like little David Dingman-Grover did that we are reading about today. If you can't make your point without ridiculing a little kid with cancer, then you pretty much suck, regardless of whatever else you may have done.

In spite of your instructions to the contrary, I'd like to be among the first to say: God bless you for your dedication, service and perseverance. These kind of heavy burdens are only given to those strong enough to carry them. You're a better man than I.

Um.... what is it you're angry about? Something in particular (cancer, re-activation, F-i-L's death), or life in general? Just asking.

You've had some tough things happen to you that were beyond your control. But all in all, life is a reflection of the choices that we make. So stop bitching and God Bless you.

In a couple of days, when you are not quite so angry, you're gonna wonder what your point was in posting this.
I'm wondering that now (and I don't care what you think either).

I'll respect your request that we not respond to your post with any gratitude, encouragement or kindness, as hard as that is for me.
I can't quite understand from your post just what it is you hoped for or wanted from FReepers when you wrote this to us. Are you angry that you're being deployed? Or, angry at the attitudes you're seeing among the 160? Or, angry at the reasons you perceive for those attitudes? Maybe you just wanted to vent? I'm confused.

Now, back to being angry. I am, I really am angry. Is the central issue the war in Iraq? I get that impression, but would appreciate clarification.
Also, you mention that the attitudes of those in your unit aren't particularly positive. Do they, also, oppose the war?
I mean no offense with these questions, and it is not my intent to argue with you. I am just asking to learn.

now I have Bush 43 as one. I am glad he is a good man, but things are different this time. I will keep the secrets of the 160 men I am now going to call my family, but never have I seen such bad attitudes.Sorry, but I'm not sure I get your point. Are you angry about the war in Iraq? You (and your 160 family members) don't like Dubya?
