What sad news. Dick was one of the finest people I've ever met. I introduced myself the first time we met, and he had an talent of remembering names. This is what struck me to be a one of a kind person. I've bowled for many years on the Midwest PBA regional circuit, and became a friend of Mr. Weber as I first called him. Not only could he bowl, he liked to tee it up also. I'll miss him, and so will the bowling community..

Good bye Dick... My friend...

I think bowling would be more fun to watch if there were hot cheerleaders, and it was a contact sport, with all the trash-talking and stuff... ;0)

Anyone who grew up in the 60s remembers watching Dick Weber on the Pro Bowlers Tour on Saturday afternoons. Got to remember there were only 4-to-5 channels on tv back then so anyone who was on tv regularly developed quite a following. Dick was one of the best.

Prayers to this man's family. I hope he has gone to "Strike Heaven".

Ten Pin Bowling is actually a lot of fun. It's great to let a 14 pound ball loose down the alley and watch it just hit the side of the front pin with a slight curve on it, and watch the pins smash around like a exploding bunch of pick up sticks, into a strike.

A line from a song comes to mind...

"Take the skinheads bowling, take them bowling."

Campervan Beethoven (Sorry, I don't know many Bowling songs...)

With all respects to Mr. Weber and Pabst drunkers everywhere, is this breaking news affecting the future of the Conservative movement in America?

Now it's time for others to continue the great history of bowling. Here's a pioneer of the pro tour:

One of the few recreational activities where one can drink, smoke and cuss at the same time. Gameworks has a killer bowling alley w/ all the necessary accoutrements...bar, friendly waitresses, food. The only time you have to get up is when it's your turn to bowl.
