I'm surprised Geraldo Rivera didn't get in on this one - still remember his big Al Capones vault fiasco

16 Jul 2003 Police dig up a pool in Hampton Township, Michigan after a tip from inmate Richard Powell (in jail for murder of his landlady.) They find nothing, but Powell's tip about another murder, that of Robert A. Woods, did pan out.
A few miles from me. Remember it well :)

It's no mystery at all. Just ask Judge Crater where to find him; he knows.

Thanks, Jeff. I grew up in a wise guy neighborhood. A lot of my classmates have had numbers on them in the 30+ years since graduation. I try to keep up with them. Posting HTML Did you by chance grow up in a Brooklyn wiseguy neighborhood?
Ever heard of a double-decker Funeral?

Ever heard of a double-decker Funeral? Stefano Maggadino was the boss in my neighborhood. He owned funeral homes. They kept trying to find those double deckers, but never could. He was under house arrest for a lot of years. Never did put him in jail for anything.

Youse is sayin dat de media is as bad as de bloggers dey be dissin? No. Usually, bloggers get their facts straight. They can't afford to have egregious errors because of scrutiny like this.
