Can anyone please show me a example of when out illustrious MAJORITY leader used his position to force something through? For that matter has he taken a firm stand when it mattered on any subject?

So far, depending on what comes next, I don't have any problem with how Frist and the President have played this. It became a campaign issue that helped them dethrone Daschle and add seats. (I'm not one of those who would have played the nuclear option card earlier...I can envision a day where I would like to see a Republican minority blocking judges. But if it comes to that, Frist appears to be ready at which time he will have optimized the political damage to the Democrats.)

Watch the usual suspects and their same, inane,
talking points..prepared by the paid guy in DC..
think name is Neves or similar. They all get a
panicky smile on their face when faced with these
momentous decisions...wimps. If the nominee is
qualified and has been reviewed by the bar, etc. and
is recommended by the President...Why do they come
up with .."he has thoughts about beating his Mother-In-Law"..or some other Kennedyism. Jake

Never would happen.

Republicans try to do the decent thing and give the nominees an up or down vote.

Democrats are not bound with such scruples.
