It's amazing the number of people who have tried to convince me he's some kind of supporter of President Bush,

I didn't say Keyes supports President Bush.

All I did was give you this quote:

I thank God Almighty that we have had in the White House somebody who doesn't rely on the wisdom of hindsight to make his decisions. I'll tell you something: the wisdom of hindsight isn't of much use when you're dealing with people who are planning and plotting the devastating kinds of attacks we saw on September 11th. What's needed to meet those enemies is the courage of foresight, the courage to take the tough decisions, not on the information you'll get, but on the information you have, and to do what is necessary to defend the lives, to defend the future of America. G.W. Bush had that courage, he made those decisions, and he stands by with the courage today! (Alan Keyes, September 11, 2004)
If you gather from this quote that Keyes supports President Bush, give credit to the man himself for giving you that idea.

The following quote I will leave for you to draw your own conclusions:

I think the most important thing that G. W. Bush has done is what he's done that's good for America: he has stood against this country's enemies. I don't remember on September the 12th that we counted the bodies in terms of who was black and who was white. Thank God that day we remembered that we were all of us Americans--and G. W. Bush has been a president standing against that evil for the sake of all Americans, and that's what I think people will appreciate. (Alan Keyes, July 12, 2004)
Hear, hear.

It was also September of 2001 when he wrote about Bush being "the bullet that kills you" - but you know what, Gelato? We've been through this (what feels like) a thousand times. You are definitely not changing my mind about him, and I'm not changing yours - so post away all you want, but frankly, I'm sick of rehashing the same old stuff.

What do you think about the way he is handling the situation with his daughter? What do you think about his remarks regarding Mary Cheney in retrospect, knowing now that there is no question his own daughter had identified herself as a lesbian when he made them?

I could guess, but... : )
