Women will often experience that with their moms and boys with their dads. That's why they turn to a same sex relationship, to fill the void.
I haven't met those who have missed out on a solid relationship with mother....but perhaps that's just me. More often, I find it is a father-love gap. I think that's because the real need human have (male or female) is for their heavenly Father.
