There's been a lot of brujah about this particular episode of 'postcards from buster', so I did some research, and hunted up a tape of that episode and watched it. Here's what I found.

'Postcards from buster' is a spin-off of the Arthur TV show. I remember my little sister watching that show - Arthur's an aardvark or something, and his best friend is buster - a rabbit. This 'Postcards' show is about buster traveling around with his dad - his dad's a pilot - and buster stays with different families his dad is friends with. Its an odd sort of combination of cartoon and real life shots to make it appear to kids as if a cartoon rabbit is interacting with real people. Buster tapes his adventures on a video camera and mails tapes to his mom. Buster is apparently from a single parent home, and lives with his father.

In this episode, buster goes to stay with a family, and he plays with the kids and the dogs. The children describe their parents as 'partners' (once) and at one point there is a shot of a family portrait and the two women are in it with the children. Later in the episode, in another home, buster and the children are talking to a woman in another home, and there is another woman in the background, in the kitchen. That, as far as I could tell, was the entirety of the show's 'homosexual' content. Humorously enough, at one point, buster asks the kids what he should get his mother for mother's day (I inferred that because the kids have two moms, they'd probably know lol).

Honestly, though I do see a lot of homosexual normalization bravo sierra on television, I don't see this in that category. There was nothing insidious or wrong in the show - the issue of homosexuality wasn't even touched on - it was a background issue. And, in reality, gays do exist - and your kids are going to encounter homosexuality in the world - if you're worried about it, talk to them about it. This show, IMO, does little or nothing to advance the 'homosexual agenda', but rather is a cutesy little show about a rabbit kid meeting people from around the country and seeing how they live.

Finally, I urge all of you who live in WI, or any other state, to voice your opinion to your local PBS station - you own the station, so tell them what you want to see.

I have three kids! Do you know how many time & years I have had to listen to Sillyville!
My youngest just got out of those shows. I have see Arthur many times.
As many parents know. Kids brains are not only sponges but steel traps ( let the “wrong word” slip and see how fast they pick it up!)

See the subliminal line of the show. Young children will not understand it but they will latch onto Two Mommies?? (snap)
You can’t have a discussion with a 3 year old on this. You will only reinforce and play the game of the sodomites.
More and more of this will show up in children’s program so by the time there older. Some will be totally confused. And very open the predatory suggestions. Which is just what the recruiters want.

Less you think I’m some from hick from the sticks of WI.
I have been around the world, lived & worked for 14 years in CA SF Bay Area and worked 5 in SF.
I have seen first hand what’s the true nature of this beast.

It's part of the normalization of homosexuality.

When I was a kid I never heard of two men or two women raising children. It would have set off my weird-o-meter. "Dad, how come that kid has two moms?" I don't want my kids going there yet. Both of my kids watch this show. If they saw this episode and asked me that question, I'd be ripping.
