Dean Vows to Lead Democrats Back to Power

WASHINGTON - Howard Dean (news - web sites) promised cheering supporters Wednesday night he would harness their energy to lead the Democratic Party back to power in the halls of Congress and the White House by 2008.

The virtually certain incoming chairman of the Democratic National Committee (news - web sites) rallied hundreds of young supporters, and a few he called "young at heart," in a campaign-style appearance at a Washington nightspot within view of the Capitol. In his first public appearance since clinching the chairmanship, he gave a glimpse of the kind of uncompromising leadership he plans for the national party.

The Democrats "are a party of the future, while Republicans are the party of the past," Dean said.

"We need to be proud to be Democrats," said Dean, recalling the kind of exuberant appearances he made during 2003 when he came close to winning the Democratic presidential nomination before collapsing in early 2004 in Iowa.

"We have to never be afraid to say what we believe," Dean said, as the crowd roared its approval. "Above all, we need to stand up for a different vision."

He came close to winning the presidential nomination? Don't you have to win at least one primary?

I, for one, welcome this news, as it all but guarantees the growth of the GOP congressional majority in '06.

He couldn't beat Kerry or Edwards in the primary. Sure sounds like a winner to me.

The hostile takeover of the Democrat party by the Deaniacs is complete.

Democrats should change their name to the Anti-American Leftist Party, because that's who is in control of it now.

The man is a lunatic but then again the whole party is full of lunatics. What is even more interesting though is the additional dynamics set up for control of the party. We now could see all out war between the Deaniacs, the Kennedy-Kerry Mass Communist wing of the party, and the Clinton-Clinton crime cartel. This could become very interesting.

harness their energy

Howie, why don't have all of your supporters scream into a turbine powered hydroelectric plant?

At least then they might actually be contributing something to society with their hot air.

;-)

The keyword in this title being POWER. That's what the dem/libs want. Not to lead and be a great leader for the American citizen but...to have POWER. Confirms who they really are and their real agenda.

Dean Vows to Lead Democrats Back to Power

Geraldo Rivera also vowed to show us some really cool stuff in Al Capone's vault once, too.

"We have to never be afraid to say what we believe,"

Say it Howard! Say it loud and clear. Quit trying to conceal your message and agenda. Stop saying you support the troops when you don't. Stop saying you have faith when you don't. Start telling us you think you are smarter than everyone else. Tell us you would like to take away our guns. Tell us Osama is innocent until proven guilty. Tell us what you want to cram into the minds of our kids at school. Tell us porn should be on the Internet in every school library. Tell us you want to raise our taxes. Tell us Howard, say it loud and clear.

"I, for one, welcome this news, as it all but guarantees the growth of the GOP congressional majority in '06."

I do, too. However, I heard someone (I think it might have been a pubbie strategerist on FNC and/or Tom Sullivan filling in for Rush) say that pubbies were happy about this, but that we needed to be careful and not get complacent (I don't see most on FReepers doing that)or we could lose in '06. I think we'll also have to watch Hitlery and some of her ilk. W Dean probably taking the party to the left H and a few others will most likely try to look like 'moderate' 'centerists' - she's already started some of this - and try to 'trick' the public.

One of the top Dims said they didn't need to change their platform - just change the way they're communicating it to the public. In other words, couch their words and lie better about what their beliefs are so they seem more mainstream and palatable to the public as a whole. I think the New Media will let the public know the truth, but we just need to keep our guard up and watch for the lies to spew from the lefties. Sounds like they'll be doing what they have been doing for years - only more of it.

"WASHINGTON - Howard Dean (news - web sites) promised cheering supporters Wednesday night he would harness their energy to lead the Democratic Party back to power in the halls of Congress and the White House by 2008. "

it's deja-vu all over again. Seems like just yesterday that Howard Dean promised cheering supporters Wednesday night he would harness their energy to lead the Democratic Party back to power in the halls of Congress and the White House by 2004.

The Democrats "are a party of the future, while Republicans are the party of the past," Dean said.
The Democrats stand for returning Iraq to the Baathist Party.

The Democrats stand for leaving Social Security on autopilot while the SS "Trust Fund" accumulates not as an asset (it's only an IOU the government writes to itself) but as a measure of the liability which SS is building up for our grandchildren.

The Democrats stand for continuously boasting of "improvements" in government schooling but against any real management changes which would be likely actually to produce good education.

The Democrats stand for the status quo, and nothing more.

"We have to never be afraid to say what we believe," Dean said, as the crowd roared its approval. "Above all, we need to stand up for a different vision."
What pitiful kind of an excuse for a political leadership has to say that!
