'Ive realized that I've been living here longer than in my home country. American has given me unbeliveable opportunities,' she said. I realized with the US elections I wanted to vote and I couldn't. I felt the time had come to particiapte more fully.'

Seymour, 53 wore a cream colored suit to the ceremony at the LA Convention Center. She sat among more than a dozen US military personnel who also recieved citizenship.

The actress has been married four times and has five children. On of her ex-husbands is Lord Attenborough's son Michael.

Do you mean Rachmaninoff...as in a Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini (the theme song to Somewhere in Time). Interesting tidbit...that theme is one of about 19 other rhapsodies Rachmaninoff wrote on the same theme.

Actually, that's her stage name. Her real last name is something like Frankenberg.

That would make sense. I knew she was Jewish and that "Jane Seymore" was not her real name.

When she was young, she would have been in my top 10 of the prettiest actresses anywhere.

She also played Natalie Jastrow in "War and Remembrance." Thank God they didn't keep Ali McGraw.

She was also the model for the Gerber Baby < /semiobscure trivia>

"When [Gerber] put out the call for baby face images to use in advertising campaigns for their newly-developed baby foods, they chose Ann Cook (née Turner) of Westport, Connecticut, the daughter of cartoonist Leslie Turner."

My daughter was the most beautiful baby you have ever seen. Everyone said she reminded them of the Gerber baby.

I am not prejudiced either.

You know now that I rethink it, and having seen the picture in the post above, I believe his mother was a famous painter of babies. Can't remember who. Maybe she painted the Gerber baby picture. Time passes, memories grow dim.

I found that girl's picture and cropped out all but her eyes. It probably helped that she was really pretty otherwise too.

A really classy lady. And someone who strikes one as being the complete opposite of Hollywood's jerks and snobs. Let Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna leave for Europe. We're happy to actually welcome someone who's developed a genuine love for our country. Its no accident immigrants make better Americans than any number of native born Americans who take the country for granted. Jane Seymour has earned the honor of being one of us!

I first saw her as the Bond girl in "Let Live And Let Die." She's simply gotten more beautiful with age. Seymour's one of those rare actresses with intelligence, grace and manners. Its hard to dislike her.

Welcome to the party Jane Seymour.

No matter what her side of the aisle is, she has stepped forward, raised her hand, and LEGALLY became a United States Taxpayer/Voter.

Kudos and thank you, to her! :-)

Are you refering to that old TV show, "Dr Quinn, Meddling Woman"?

Although I agree Jane Seymour is quite good looking, and I'm glad she chose to be an American citizen - still, her many marriages and (most important) her long role in that stupid show are signs she's no conservative.

Maybe she is that rare creature that used to be more common - a liberal who loves America. After all, we can't expect all patriots to have brains...
