If you go to the Virginia elections website and read who contributed to his last state senate campaign, it looks like a who's-who of RINOs in Virginia.
I think this helps Tim Kaine, but I'm not so sure it's going to be as helpful as some might expect. Turncoats aren't the most popular folks out there.
If he feels so strongly about the direction the Virginia GOP is taking that he wants to run for governor as an independent, then he should resign his senate seat.
