Pro or not, we all are susceptible to social engineering.
This has got to stand as an object lesson for each and every one of us.
They ARE out to discredit Free Republic and with it, the conservative message. They will use any underhanded trick and tactic you can possibly think of to do it. Lets not hand them any more freebies...

" History will record these times as the downfall of the Democrat Party"...and the slap-down of a biased mainstream press who no longer represent the beliefs and values of regular folks.

MD4BUSH is still here, and has posted as recently as last Tuesday. Here's what his/her home page (created about one month before last year's election) states:
I hate John Kerry and I'm sick of his lies. This is the most important election in history and George bush must win. If not the Islamic Terrorists will win, there will be more attacks on the states.
Sounds like someone trying to establish "instant FR street cred" with some lines straight out of the "Bob Boudelang" feature on DU.

Care to comment?!?! Two days ago the guy posts to himself on a thread originating in October 2004 concerning a TIPP election poll. He posts an entire string of personal Freepmails on a thread that has nothing to do with the Freepmails. Bottomline, this whole thing was a set up. I don't imagine MD4BUSH will ever comment about anything on FreeRepublic again (as MD4BUSH). I'm sure he will be back as someone else to bait another Freeper into screwing himself.

We have no proof of that. MD also is the state abbreviation for Maryland.

Actually, not sure that you needed rabbit ears at all. You are brilliant.

These two writers for the waComPost have a fair body of reporting between them, a couple of woodward bernstein wannabees looking for a juicy tale, never mind they had to invent or help weave it..
who knows? for your consideration.

My only comment on this article:
FR is NOT a blog, and posters here are NOT bloggers. WashPost dosen't seem to understand the difference between a message board and a weblog, which I guess is expected considering they are the old media.
Clueless.
