I know the CHARACTER of the person who told the story - and because I KNOW that - I trust what he says.
So how do you know that he's remembering accurately?
But .. nobody's requiring you to believe the story
And you yet you adamantly insist that a story that has all the hallmarks of an urban legend "must" be true, to the point of screaming at someone for doubting it.
and if you don't believe the story - why are you fighting about it so hard?
I'm trying to figure out why you're so desperately clinging to your belief of the truth of the story when you can't even supply simple details like the name of the scientist involved.
Why didn't you just pass it by ..??
Why didn't you pass by one person's expression of doubt? Why did you turn it into an accusation that a preacher was lying? Why are you so sensitive, and so desperate to believe something that sounds so fictional?
