Either Jesus existed and was who he says he was or not.
1) Jesus did not exist
2) Jesus existed but was not who he said he was
3) Jesus existed but everything said about him is not true

Results:
God is, and you believe = you win the big prize
God is not, and you believe = no harm, no foul
God is not, and you do not believe = wow, you gambled and won. so what?
God IS, and you do not believe = you are in deep doo-doo
