A few years later, George Westinghouse stopped funding Tesla's research when Tesla showed him that he could offer free electricity to the whole world by simply "ramming a stick in the earth in your backyard". Westinghouse said he would go bankrupt if that happened. Actually, W bought T's patents for $1 million plus $1 per installed horsepower but Tesla blew his own money by bad management.
