Brian Peterson the privileged New Jersey youth who made headlines in 1996 when he and his girlfriend Amy Grossberg killed their newborn baby is out of jail, married to another woman, and living in Florida.
He spoke to The Post recently as he and his wife Jaime took a stroll in the town of Jupiter with their two dogs and showed he was in no way marking the short life of his son.
"It was seven years ago," Brian Peterson said when approached outside his swank townhouse.
The significant date to him was apparently July 1998 when Peterson, along with his Wyckoff, N.J., high school sweetheart, copped a manslaughter plea and began prison terms for killing their newborn son.

The parents of these two murderers have done them a huge disservice in not making them face the consequences of their actions.

That's right. But the fact that this sentence stirred so little outrage at the time--at least, in the circles that count--really set the tone for public discussion of the many, many baby murders which followed. Nowadays, it's amazing if a baby-killer gets more than "community service." First, the unborn didn't count. Now, the just-recently-born don't count either. It's Peter Singer's dreamland, and snotty Brian Peterson is a fitting symbol of it.
