Yes. But if the people of Iraq democratically and freely choose to adopt crazy Islamic Extremist policies that end up threatening the US someday, then we can at least hold the people responsible for their bad gov't.
In short, if the Iraqi people use the Democratic process to become another Taliban-dominated country that harnors terrorists that harm America, then we can, in good conscience, bomb them out of existence.
It is harder, these days, to make war against an entire people when they are under the domination of tyrants who were never freely elected.
