Hi Kitty and Inspectorette -- glad you both enjoyed the photos. Put together in essay form, they do give us an interesting perspective.
A "Winter Smog Alert" system is new to me. Of course, here in Southern California if any of us actually got a chance to breath clean air, I think we'd keel over from shock.

Oh absolutely she is fighting back tears. How could anyone not? We did. For those out there who asked if that was a staged event...I say to them :
"Look at yourselves in the mirror tonight and ask yourselves if you really, trul love this country as those who have given their lives for it."
Shameful talk from shameful people. They disgust me and I will always and forever do everything in my power to keep the dem/libs OUT OF POWER by always voting, calling my reps and doing whatever else I can to defeat them at the polls. They have disgraced this country, our soldiers, and themselves but unfortunately they don't even realize what asses they have made of themselves. They will though in 2006.

Such mutual respect between President Bush and Ms. Rice. Still cant' get over how many people want to touch him. We are blessed with this man. No doubt about it.
That particular pinky finger of the First Lady's tends to bend like that no matter how she holds her hand. I truly believe it's due either to arthritis in that knuckle joint, or to a break earlier in her life (or both).
I've never heard of it before either, we've always had one in the summer though. There's a big band of smog hovering over the city. You can barely see your hand in front of your face. Very disturbing! I've heard it's equally as bad in California. One of these days we'll all need masks on just to go outdoors.
I wondered during the SOTU if Dana Reeve had been invited by a democrat or two.

I was wondering myself about her presence but I think it was to signify support for the "stem-cell" issue on the dems behalf. There were cut-shots of her when the topic came up in the speech.
