"Before they let Spaceworks put it in thier museum The Pentagon wanted to be sure they could get it out of the Museum if they had to."

Most of the birds in the museum become museum property by way of donation from the armed services. Except for the Blackbirds. Legally they are still the property of DoD/USAF, and DO NOT THINK OF TOUCHING THE BIRD!

They let you Touch the one in Hutch but you can't see in the cockpit because of the way its displayed its neat to stand at the nose and look allllllll the way to the top of the tail fin its a long way back there.

Not so. The Memphis Belle was recently reposessed by the Air Force because it wasn't taken care of properly. They may grant stewardship to the museums, but they don't own them
