All too many police departments in this country are staffed by buffoons who are incapable of finding their behinds with both hands and two assistants. This case shows how inept the Orlando Police Department is. The only way that department will change is if Brooks sues the department for their clear failure to exercise due diligence in the performance of their duties and the taxpayers demand the chief of detective's head -- and get it -- and the new chief of detectives replaces the idiots he finds on staff with people who have IQs 20 points higher -- placing them at the lower end of the normal range.

Unfortunately, you'd be suing the wrong agency.

It was the Orange County Sheriff's Office. Which is usually pretty good.

Just goes to show how onesided the law has become stacked against guys in situations like this.
