With the same breezy manner that was just as infectious yesterday as it was in 1964, McCartney figured that even though we're here hyping this thing eight days a week, he might be here to put a global audience totaling close to 1 billion back in touch with something grandly simple.

One thing that annoys me about the Super Bowl are all the non-football reporters that show up. These are the people who ask the players on media day what their favorie movie is.

At least Paul M. is a step up from last year.
My favorite, Phil Keaggy, sounds a lot like Paul M. but Phil has virtually no name recognition----even though he has recorded more than 40 albums over the years.
In my opinion they should just stick with football at the superbowl.

Pitt-Youngstown State fray In which sports does Pitt play YSU? i realize since Penn State fled the Big East, that rivalry is no more, but when i was at Pitt, granted, many moons ago, we never played Youngstahn in anything!

When did the network fagots and lesbians get a hold of the halftime show? This is football's finest moment - or at least it used to be...

All halftime shows suck. Doesn't matter who is performing. The sound is terrible, the thousands of dancing idiots twisting on the field...ugh. I'd rather watch that British streaker guy running around the 50yrd. line in his plastic thong while trying to dodge security. Now that's entertainment!
And for what it's worth, I love ZZTop, but when they did a halftime show several years ago...it sucked as bad as the rest do.

It's the symbol of America in the (bald) Eagles versus those who love America, the Patriots.
I think the Pats have the edge. How can you pick against what they have done? Either way, America can't lose.
I'd play the 'over' and hope for an entertaining game.

Real men discuss issues on FreeRepublic and watch the well paid gladiators only if they have time. Professional sports has robbed American men of their natural calling--politics.

He was rehearsing "Hey Jude" yesterday, so don't be surprised if you hear it.
