I was hoping W. would be more like his mother than his father.
Bush disappointed me the day he made the speech to the UN saying they were irrelevant and in the same breadth he committed us to UNESCO. I also didn't like the fact that we had foreign planes in our skies after 9/11 for months. It still galls me that the UN was invited to monitor our elections. OSCE was created by the UN to monitor elections.
yes, those things you mentioned i don;t like either. but they are just words... so far or nothing really big -yet. has he done anything that would make you think he is the Rockefeller type? i can see W actually playing the UN ... hope it's not just wishful thinking..
